Reciprocal linking is where you find another site that has been built around a similar topic as yours and you contact the site owner or webmaster and ask them if they would like to put a link to your site in exchange for a link to theirs.

There are also link exchange services and directories that will help you find similar websites that are willing to exchange links with you. Just do a search for “link exchange” and you will find several.

Not only can this help your ranking in the search engines it will also give your site more exposure from people that visit the other website that you are linked to.
